AROMATHERAPY WITH REIKI

The therapeutic benefits of pure essential oils have been well documented throughout the ages  and an aromatherapy massage enhanced with Reiki healing promotes deep relaxation taking you to an inner place of peace and tranquillity to begin your healing journey.

THE TREATMENT

The treatment  begins with a chakra balance before carrying out a full body massage including the face and scalp using pure essential oils blended in a carrier oil and chosen specifically for you, the individual.  Essential oils have various therapeutic properties and can be chosen for their uplifting, relaxing or invigorating effect.   Some oils have antiseptic qualities whereas others are antifungal or antiviral, the combinations are endless and taking a holistic approach a combination of two or three oils are selected for their synergistic effect. 

After balancing the chakras the oils are massaged into your body using a combination of acupressure, lymphatic drainage, neuromuscular and Swedish massage techniques.  Healing works in two ways with  the oils absorbed into the bloodstream through your skin and  with the aroma filtering through the nasal passages into the limbric system of your brain soothing your nervous system.

(Alternatively rather than choosing the full treatment you can opt for an aromatherapy back massage with Reiki which is a shorter treatment which incorporates chakra balancing)

Aromatherapy with Reiki supports conventional medicine and will treat a wide range of ailments, acting as a catalyst to trigger your body's natural self-healing response.   Nevertheless, you don't have to be ill to enjoy the treatment.  The effects are cumulative and regular aromatherapy massage with Reiki will boost the immune system and restore vitality while simultaneously eliminating stress and tension.  The deep relaxation engendered by the treatment encourages deep refreshing sleep, soothes aches and pains, improves hair and scalp condition and adds radiance to your skin.

 HEALTH & LIFESTYLE CONSULTATION

A  free health and lifestyle consultation precedes every treatment and this is to check for any contraindications to treatment which would require your GP's permission.  Most are happy to give their approval although some medications, homeopathic remedies and herbal remedies are incompatible with essential oils and caution needs to be exercised when using essential oils during pregnancy.

 DURATION OF TREATMENT

You will need to allow around two hours for  your session to include the consultation and aftercare, with the treatment itself lasting around 1 hour 15 minutes. 

 AFTERCARE ADVICE

Following the treatment you will be given general aftercare advice and perhaps the remaining oil blend to take home along with more specific advice which may take the form of relaxation/breathing exercises, dietary advice or advice on meditation, affirmations or exercise. 

Dowsing for health is a diagnostic tool which can be used to discover any vitamin/mineral deficiencies and this is supported by means of a food diary and health questionnaire to advice on dietary changes to boost the immune system and promote healing.  Dowsing can also uncover any colour deficiencies or areas of your life which can be changed to promote positive health and wellbeing.

Daytime and evening appointments Monday to Friday and there is a 24 hour notice of cancellation policy.

TREATMENTS REQUIRED

The number of sessions required will be discussed during the health and lifestyle consultation and really depends on why you are seeking treatment.  I usually recommend a course of three treatments although most  stress related complaints respond positively and you might find a single treatment is all that necessary to set you on your healing journey.
